"Part Deco"
Woodworking artisans of the Art Deco movement of the 1930's would often use the highly-prized Amboyna burl in their pieces. This blade is a salute to the period with its wonderfully figured Amboyna handle that accents a feathery, swirled Ash blade with Ash edge banding. At certain angles, the figure on the blade resembles crumpled onion skin paper.
The blade pictured below is the first of a pair that will be built from this same batch of woods.
